The Student Counseling Cell at Aadya College of Pharmacy, Chitradurga, Karnataka, is a dedicated unit providing professional and confidential counseling services to all students. The Counseling Cell offers students a private and supportive space to discuss concerns affecting their academic performance, personal health, and overall well-being.

During the counseling process, students’ strengths are identified and nurtured, with a focus on self-growth, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. Counseling provides an opportunity to gain new perspectives on challenges and fosters greater self-acceptance. Sessions are typically conducted on a one-on-one basis and are strictly confidential.

Functions of the Counseling Cell

    • To promote students’ development in all aspects—mental, emotional, social, and physical well-being—as well as academic growth.
    • To help students make the most of the available college facilities and resources.
    • To enhance the self-esteem of weaker, slow learners, and physically challenged students.
    • To support students from diverse social, economic, and linguistic backgrounds in adapting to college life.
    • To guide students in self-awareness and self-discovery, enabling them to develop their full potential.
    • To assist students in resolving personal, educational, social, and psychological challenges.
    • To create awareness, motivate students, and guide them in overcoming life challenges and achieving success.
    • To refer students to a clinical psychologist or professional psychiatrist in cases requiring advanced support.
    • To organize workshops on topics such as:
      • Stress Management
      • Emotional Intelligence
      • Relaxation Techniques

Objectives of the Counseling Cell

  • To ensure the psychological well-being of students through continuous support and guidance tailored to their needs.
  • To empower students in recognizing their unique potential and skills, helping them achieve academic goals, personal growth, and career aspirations.
  • To maintain confidentiality in all counseling interventions, except in cases where a student is at risk of harm to themselves or others, in which case appropriate individuals or agencies will be notified.
